About This Novel
"Wuthering Heights" is the work of Emily Brontë, one of the Brontë sisters, a British female writer. The novel describes the story of Heathcliff, an abandoned gypsy boy who was adopted by the old owner of the mountain villa. Due to humiliation and failed love, he went out to get rich. When he came back, he took revenge on the landowner Linton and his children who married his girlfriend Catherine. The whole novel is filled with a strong fighting spirit against oppression and striving for happiness, and is always shrouded in a bizarre and tense romantic atmosphere. It was initially regarded as a naive fantasy of a young female writer that was divorced from reality. However, combined with the fierce class struggle in the region it describes and the social phenomenon in Britain, it was soon highly recognized by critics and warmly welcomed by readers.

It is worthy of being a foreign masterpiece. The plot and story are excellent. It is hard to imagine that this was a novel published in 1847.
Why can't I read it? What's going on😭😭😭
A good book, worthy of a world famous book
turning point in atmosphere
I think it's a bit silly to get angry at a group of dogs for being disrespectful. Heathcliff also felt that it would be foolish to offend a good tenant for no reason, so his tone was slightly more tactful, and he talked about the topic he thought I would be interested in-the advantages and disadvantages of my current residence.
Emily Bronte concentrated all her efforts on the portrayal of Heathcliff, where she placed all her indignation, sympathy and ideals. This abandoned child who was deprived of the warmth of the world developed strong love and hatred in real life. Hindley's whip made him taste the cruelty of life, and also taught him that swallowing and surrendering cannot change his humiliating fate. He chose to resist. Catherine was once his loyal partner, and their true love sprouted in their common resistance. However, Catherine finally betrayed Heathcliff and married Edgar Linton, whom she did not understand and did not love at all. The direct cause of this love tragedy was her vanity, ignorance and stupidity. As a result, she ruined her youth, love and life, also destroyed Heathcliff, who had always been deeply devoted to her, and almost harmed the next generation.
Good and evil all have causes
When the desire hidden in the heart is summoned, it is a kind of crazy performance of people
Now it's Katie and now it's Catherine, but in the end it's the same person. I've confused them all before. If you want to name them, just unify them. It's very confusing.
The more you read the better
Read a good book, read a good book
