About This Novel
"Anna Karenina" is a masterpiece of Russian writer Tolstoy's novels. Created from 1873 to 1877, it consists of two parallel but interrelated clues: one is the family, marriage and love entanglements between Anna, Karenin and Vronsky; the other is the love life of Levin and Kitty and the estate reform carried out by Levin. Anna is a high-society lady, young and beautiful, pursuing freedom of individuality. However, because she fell into an extramarital affair with the young officer Wronsky, she found herself in a painful situation in opposition to society. After losing her son and being betrayed by her lover, she could no longer tolerate this hypocritical life and chose to commit suicide by lying on the train. This work caused huge social repercussions as soon as it was published. Soon it was recognized as a great masterpiece, and the heroine Anna Karenina became one of the most beautiful and plump female images in the history of world literature.
