About This Novel
Krull was born into a wealthy businessman's family. Under the influence of his family, he was smart and talented since he was a child. As he grew older and was born with beauty, he became quite popular with women, and he was able to get along well in the upper class, like a fish in water. His father's bankruptcy and suicide caused the family's financial situation to plummet, which dealt a heavy blow to Krul. He began to give up on himself and become cynical. He fooled around in big cities such as Frankfurt, Paris and Lisbon, enjoying the life of the colorful world, and learned to interact with prostitutes. A female concubine, he used sweet words to defraud noble ladies of their jewelry and rich girls' bodies and minds. Not only did he degenerate himself, but he also went around to harm others, cheat and steal, and do all sorts of things, but in the end he ended up in jail and ruined his reputation.
