This book includes two classic works by Hemingway: "The Old Man and the Sea" and "A Farewell to Arms". Although the old fisherman in "The Old Man and the Sea" is old, unlucky and failed, he still persists in working hard. This novel expresses a struggling outlook on life. "A Farewell to Arms" is a full-length novel with a strong autobiographical flavor. Based on his own experience in the war, Hemingway sings a sad and moving elegy based on war and love. He criticizes the hypocrisy of imperialist propaganda and is full of strong anti-war sentiments. The novel is divided into two parts. The first part is a farewell to war; the second part is a farewell to love.
