About This Novel

The protagonist Joseph K was suddenly and inexplicably arrested on his 30th birthday. Although he knew he was innocent, he still could not escape the fate of being arrested. The strange thing is that after being arrested, he could work and live freely. However, he needs to be tried regularly. He tried many ways to prove his innocence, including lawyers, judges, and so-called witnesses. However, in the end, everything was in vain. No one could prove his innocence. The whole society was like an invisible legal net surrounding him, and he could never get rid of the accusation of his guilt. In the end, he was killed in the quarry, ending his short life inexplicably and hastily.
