About This Novel

Anne is a little girl with a miserable life experience. Her parents died soon after she was born and she became an orphan. A kind-hearted neighbor raised her until she was six years old. After that, she went to another family to look after children, and was later sent to an orphanage. When she was eleven, she was adopted by Matthew and Marilla of Green Gables. Anne has a lively and optimistic nature and a rich imagination. Her innocence and fantasy caused a lot of jokes, but her kindness and straightforwardness also won her friendship and true love. She was smart and diligent, and passed the university with her own efforts, but she gave up her studies in order to take care of Marilla. This is a story about an orphan growing up, simple and gorgeous, full of childlike innocence and dreams. The Cuthbert brothers and sisters at Green Gables Farmhouse decide to adopt a boy to help with farm work in the fields. What is surprising is that the orphanage sends a red-haired child who loves fantasy and chatters, an elf. This little elf is like a breath of fresh wind blowing into the secluded farmhouse countryside...

Living in a place you like is a happy thing. Anne has a positive heart and I believe she will be fine.

A very suitable book for girls to read.

This Chinese textbook is recommended for students in the sixth grade of primary school. It is so right to read this book at the right age. When parents pick up this book, they can find their teenage selves and heal their childhood.

I really wish someone would recommend this book when I was a child. It's a pity that I didn't read this book when I was a child. I couldn't see how Anne dealt with loneliness, being misunderstood, imperfect appearance, and vanity when I needed it most. Except for the religious part, the other content is really suitable for children to read! I'm not a kid anymore, but I finished reading it for my childhood self.
