Tess is a beautiful country girl, pure, kind, resilient and able to distinguish between good and evil. Because his family was poor, he worked for the d'Urberville family, a noble family with the same surname as himself. As a result, she was seduced by her master's son, Alec d'Urberville, and gave birth to an illegitimate son. Because of this "sin," Tess is despised. Under tremendous pressure and with the death of her child, Tess left home to work in a dairy farm and met Angel Clare, the pastor's daughter-in-law. The two fell in love and got married. But on their wedding night, Tess confessed her past to him, and Angel abandoned her and went to Brazil alone. Living in poverty and being humiliated, Tess waits for Angel's return to no avail, and becomes Alec's mistress. At this moment, Angel came to Tess with a feeling of repentance and wanted to be with her again. At this point Tess kills Alec. On their way to escape, Tess was caught by the police and sentenced to death.

This is my first time writing a long review,
Although Tess was sentenced to death in the end, I think she bravely pursued love and sacrificed for love. She was brave. Angel's willingness to accept Tess's past shows that the power of love is great. Although the ending is tragic, everyone has their own meaning. Everyone wants to pursue happiness, and Tess is no exception!
I will never understand Tess's pain and helplessness. I felt lucky for Tess at the end of her life. Life in heaven will be happier.
Love to the depths is companionship! Tess has the right to pursue love! Regardless of her past, we can still see a woman pursuing love!
Who will understand her?
Tess is so strong!
It feels very similar to a book I've read, but the name doesn't seem to be Tess.

Everyone has the right to pursue happiness, but Tess seems to be too extreme. Until I saw Tess being arrested, I still didn't believe it, and I didn't believe the ending of a person who pursues love. However, the ending also brought the love that Tess had been looking forward to, which made me feel happy for this ending. Tears run, tears run 😐😐😐
