
About This Novel
On Christmas Eve, the fairy Belliluna told the woodcutter's children Tytil and Mytil that the blue bird was a symbol of happiness. She would take them to find the blue bird in order to save their sick daughter. Accompanied by cats, dogs and various still life souls, and guided by light, the children embarked on a dreamlike journey. They searched for the blue bird in the Land of Missing, the Palace of Night, the Palace of Light, the Future Kingdom, the Cold Cemetery and the Strange Forest. They went through many twists and turns, but never got the blue bird. On Christmas morning, Tytil and Mytil wake up. They were surprised to find that their little bird had turned into a blue bird.
