About This Novel

I know that my arrival will interrupt Lao Yu's memories if I am not careful. To put it more seriously, it will add unknown fine sand into Lao Yu's rough narrative, but I have to say that I did not mean it. In the summer of 2017, as a tourist, I came to "Shui Mo Ningxi" and met a monk named "Yumu" who had returned to secular life. We visited, chatted, and ate wine and meat together. We also chatted with Siwaniang for a while on the verandah beside Ningxi. When she heard that I was half-understanding about stones with Yamu, she took out her mobile phone calmly and generously, picked out a picture and pointed it out to us. It was a stone dug out of the foundation when their family built a house. She looked very proud. I looked at it carefully for a while and felt that the shape of this stone looked a bit like a Bodhisattva. Of course, I dare not say that the village woman in front of me also has the charm of a Bodhisattva.
