This book tells the story of the Ingalls family leaving the big forest and coming to live on the grasslands of Kansas in the western United States. The writing is fluent, and often has a magical touch, the so-called "leopard's tail". It is a novel attempt to write from the perspective of a lion. I have to admit that the author wrote it very successfully. She wrote about the cruelty of the grassland and the struggle for survival in a naked way, but at the same time there was no lack of warmth. There is no pretentiousness or pettiness common among female authors. This work made me change some of my prejudices against female online authors.
