About This Novel
"Don Quixote" is a long anti-chivalry novel. It tells the story of a nobleman who loved reading chivalric novels to the point of losing his mind. He suddenly wanted to be a knight errant, so he named himself Don Quixote, imagined a country girl as his wife, brought a horse, a spear and a shield, and invited the peasant Sancho as his attendant to join him in chivalry and righteousness. During his journey as a knight-errant, Don Quixote encountered numerous failures. Later, Don Quixote was defeated by the Knight of the White Moon disguised as a bachelor from the same village, and was forced to return to his hometown and became bedridden. On his deathbed, Don Quixote regained his senses and discovered the absurdity of his past. After making three wills, he died peacefully.
