When she was a child, her parents had no time to take care of Qianhui and threw her back to her hometown where her aunt had been widowed for many years. They may have thought that this was not to trouble her, but to show sympathy for her. Qianhui spent several winter and summer vacations with her aunt, who liked to comb her hair and match it with various cheap hair accessories. Every time she takes Qianhui home, Qianhui's mother complains that her aunt dresses Qianhui in a fancy way, like a "female sparrow." "Nvquezi" is a local curse word, describing a woman who is showy, immoral, and seductive. Unfortunately, when Qianhui was 12 years old, Qianhui's father was seduced by a "female sparrow" and died. Qianhui's father was a driver at his workplace. Once he asked a woman to go for a ride, and they had been dating for some time. The two went to the suburbs. On the way back late at night, Qianhui's father, who was overtired, had a car accident. This cause of his death greatly diminished his wife's grief, but aroused another kind of shame. She often felt dizzy and fell down.
