Mei Yaochen (1002-1060), courtesy name Shengyu, was a native of Xuancheng. He was an outstanding poet and writer in the Northern Song Dynasty. He created a new poetry style in the Song Dynasty. His poems were plain but profound, and his artistic achievements were quite high.
