About This Novel

This is a story describing Zhang Juzheng's growth from a white-faced scholar to a famous prime minister in the late Ming Dynasty, and his trade with the Mongolian grassland people (Kaima City) to maintain the peaceful development of the two peoples. The main story is divided into two lines. One line is from the Jiajing period to the early Wanli period of the Ming Dynasty, mainly based on Zhang Juzheng's early growth as a clue. Zhang Juzheng experienced critical political maturity during the Gengxu Rebellion. After the early political tempering of overthrowing Yan Song, Zhang Juzheng moved from political naivety to political maturity. Finally, he relied on the Wanli mother and son to initiate the Wanli New Deal in the position of chief minister of the cabinet. This opened up a new path for the Ming Dynasty to eliminate bad governance, brought a new atmosphere to the Ming Dynasty's ruling environment, and brought long-lost peace to the people in the north. Another line uses the growth of Zhongjin Hatton as Sanniangzi as a clue, depicting the war, life, and marriage of the Khan in the Mongolian grasslands. The name Sanniangzi can easily make people think of Han women, but the Sanniangzi in this article is an authentic Mongolian Oara girl. The legendary experience of her life has gone through hostage marriages, political marriages and inheritance marriages, and all the misfortunes of the traditional feudal marriages of Mongolian herdsmen have hit her one after another. However, Sanniangzi is an ideal and ambitious Mongolian girl. She insists on safeguarding the interests of the Mongolian grassland herdsmen as her own responsibility, endures humiliation, and leads the Mongolian grassland people from poverty to development, and from war to peace. Thousands of miles apart, two strangers shouldered the historical responsibility of opening a horse market without hesitation in order to safeguard the interests of the Mongolian and Han peoples, and ultimately made important contributions to the peaceful development of the two nations.
