Professor Wu finished the last bite of rice, put down his bowl and chopsticks, and walked to the sofa to sit down. He stuck out his tongue and licked it, and he happened to lick a grain of rice off his lips. He moved the grain of rice to the tip of his tongue and teased it. His tongue kept moving the grain of rice to the tip of his tongue, then to his gums, from left to right, and then from right to left. Small rice grains ran back and forth in Professor Wu's mouth. Gu Yelu collected the dishes on the table and walked into the kitchen. The phone rang, and Gu Yelu quickly came out of the kitchen. Professor Wu glanced at Gu Yelu and felt that her movements were very fast, faster than the rice grain in his mouth. An inexplicable smile flashed across Professor Wu's face. There was no obvious meaning, but he did smile.
