Have a Meal
About This Novel
Eating is a big deal. Fat Mom said that there is a place called Eden where everyone has no worries about food. Dongdong had kept Eden in his heart for many years, and finally took up his cumbersome luggage and arduously searched for food from east to west. She once thought she had found Eden in the United States, where meals held the family together. Dongdong's delicious dishes smoothed over the hardships of life, and also allowed her to witness the harshness and cruelty of eating. As time passed, eating changed from the family's lowest need to the highest enjoyment, but Dongdong found that Eden was still far away. During the decades of pursuing Eden, she found food, but lost the taste-it was the taste of home, the taste of hometown, and the taste of her childhood.
