About This Novel
The father-in-law accidentally knocked over a cup of coffee and was kicked by his wife's assistant. After the old man screamed, he fell to the ground and curled up, breathing heavily with his mouth wide open. The assistant then asked the security guard to throw the father-in-law into the storage room and lock the door. When I found my father-in-law, he was already dying. The blood flowing underneath him had become thick and dark in color. I called my wife anxiously and said, "Our dad was beaten and is now in critical condition. Come here quickly..." But she interrupted impatiently: "I told you that I have an important meeting today. That's your dad. It's up to you." Although my wife quickly hung up the phone, I still heard the impatient voice of the assistant on the phone. When I called again, my wife had already blocked me. Looking at the cyanotic father-in-law in front of me, my heart gradually became cold. The wife did not know that it was her biological father who was dying.
