About This Novel

This is a story about choosing a big city or returning to your hometown; it is also a story about how to work hard to be good and make progress in a big city. 26-Year-old Kate came to London with the dream of being a journalist, but she could only write scraps about cats and dogs in community tabloids. Confusion, anxiety, and low self-esteem filled her strong yet fragile heart. 86-Year-old Rosemary is a native of Old London. Everyone she loves has left this world one after another, leaving her alone and monotonously repeating every day. A swimming pool that is about to be closed makes Kate and Rosemary become year-round friends who hug each other for warmth. They connected people with different identities, skin colors, and personalities in the community to save this "secret paradise" that once relieved them of fatigue and brought joy. Although everyone has their own confusions and troubles in life, if everyone works together, ordinary people can do great things.
