Thoughts after reading The Biography of Hulan River
From many aspects, it highlights the decadence of China's feudal society, which makes the people in the Hulan River town numb and ignorant. The novel ends with Feng Zuiwaizi. He did not give up on himself after the death of his wife, but faced life and his two sons in a positive and optimistic way. From this perspective, he compared the thoughts of those in the small town. Xiao Hong not only writes about the people in the small town, but also highlights from the side that the entire Chinese society at that time was like the small town of Hulan River, and the thinking was even more so.
