Requiem
by Zhou Daxin
About This Novel
"Requiem" is a candid and heart-wrenching conversation between two souls, a father and his son. The whole book is composed of two parts: the first half recalls the growth of his son Zhou Ning during his lifetime; the second half is about his son Zhou Ning's philosophical thoughts and spiritual training after he entered the Kingdom of Heaven. In the dialogue, the father looked back on his life and made a heart-wrenching confession; in the dialogue, the son detailed his experience of death and told the strange picture of heaven. Reality and fiction are intertwined, and the current helplessness and imaginary bliss are intertwined, making people feel heavy and liberated at the same time. The first half is more realistic, while the second half is more virtual. One virtual and one real, together showing Zhou Daxin's deep longing for his son and his deep thinking about the world. Death is the end of life and a problem that everyone must face. This book observes death from a close distance and imagines people's final destination. It is not only a comfort to the dead, but also a relief to the living. It is a melancholy and broad-minded requiem.
