About This Novel
It was more than ten years ago. Because the Chinese New Year is coming soon, I went back to my hometown to see my mother. My mother doesn't talk much, and after my father passed away, my mother talks even less. Apart from business-related responses, there are no topics for communication between mother and son. I asked a question and she answered. She would not speak unless I asked. But I had something to say with my uncle. It seemed to be a snowy day, and it seemed to get dark earlier than usual.
