About This Novel
From the 1980s to the 1990s, as the country opened its doors, a large number of new immigrants, mainly laborers, poured into Italy, setting off a wave of migrant workers, commonly known as "foreign migrant workers." Qiao Xiaoyu, Jin Laishun, Pan Dubao, Kang Fengnian, Bao Xiaoyue, Ye Guang, Cheng Feiyang and others are all from the same hometown. Although each of them had different occupations in their hometown, after arriving in Italy, because this group did not have a residence at first, they were black households and could not work legally. They could only survive in family-style workshops run by Chinese people. They all worked hard in the clothing industry, performing joys and sorrows. It was not until Amnesty obtained legal residence that he gradually integrated into mainstream society.
