This book is a contemporary novel. It tells the story that in the mid-1960s, a group of Shanghainese came to Sherba Town, Linzhi, Tibet during the country's "Third Front Construction" and established the first modern textile factory in Tibet. Among them, Master Xi Fugen's daughter Xi Lili fell in love with a Tibetan young man, Tashi Phuntsok, in college. They got married and had children in Lhasa, and lived a happy life. It shows the Tibetan life of ordinary workers during the construction of New China in the 20th century. They loved their family, their country, their party, and their people. In the tide of the times, they used their own experiences to compose a life picture of national unity, and praised the contributions of ordinary people of that era to the country.
