About This Novel
This book is in the form of chapters, telling the story of Baili Dawa in the Jiaohe and Jiaolai River areas of Jiaodong, and showing the human emotions and social contradictions before the end of the Qing Dynasty and the beginning of the Republic of China. "Ze Xiang" began to be written in 1905, starting from Li Jincai's escape and settling in Dawa, which led to the cross-description of several clues, connecting multiple events and characters, and allowing many characters to move in the same space and time, forming an encyclopedia-style epic of the late Qing Dynasty society.

"Zexiang" is Zhu Kuijie's first novel. The author's creative foundation comes from Northeast Gaomi Township where he has grown up and lived for generations. It comes from the land where the author was born and the various characters with real prototypes that bear the brand of generations. It comes from the author's profound blood and tear perception and insight into human nature. It comes from the author's deep thoughts and heavy thoughts. Groups of vivid lives walk away from us, staged heart-wrenching ups and downs stories, the plot is fascinating, and the scenes are ups and downs. We can feel the soul pulse of the characters along with the work, and feel the true beauty of human nature while reading.
I had the honor to attend the book launch of "Zexiang" and I was very impressed.
I was fortunate enough to attend the book launch of "Zexiang" by author Zhu Kuijie. After all, both Mr. Zhu and I were teachers. Because of his high education and outstanding ability, Mr. Zhu not only worked as a teacher and dean of teaching at Heya Middle School, but also dabbled in related creations, but he still maintained his identity as a teacher. At this point, we have the same teacher hobbies and moral qualities, observe the real world with the purest eyes, create affectionate and real characters with the cleanest brushwork, interpret the real reality with our own character and works, sincerely embody literary ideas, light up a beam of light, and bring the positive energy of truth, goodness and beauty to every reader. Generally speaking, in this noisy and irritable era, affected by various philistine and profit-seeking trends, everyone is in a hurry, but it is so rare to be able to calm down and still like to read and appreciate books. But once you get "Zexiang", you will be deeply attracted by the plot and characters of Zexiang, and you will not be able to put it down. You will not be able to stop after entering Zexiang. At present, this should be a very rare reading craze. The readership ranges from the elderly in their 70s and 80s to young people in their youth; there are groups engaged in different professions in society, as well as professionals and non-professionals engaged in literary creation. All in all, they are highly recognized and evaluated. "Ze Xiang", which Teacher Zhu devoted all his efforts to create, had a great shocking effect. In the high-density land, after Mo Yan, Teacher Zhu used alternative brushwork, different styles, unique techniques and perspectives, and used the literary power on the back of the paper to create a new literary history.
