About This Novel

This is the whole story of a stranger's "disappearance" and "entry". In 2069, during the summer when "I" was a visiting scholar at Oxford University in England, I accidentally discovered L's notes. "I" used this note as a historical material, and later used it as a puzzle, trying to outline L's life. The novel interweaves the narrative with two parallel timelines, the present (2069-2075) and the past (2014-2015), integrating oral narratives, interviews, confessions, current affairs commentary and other forms. In the fictional historical dimension, Through the personal actions and situations of L and his classmates at the turning point of the times, it shows the situation of the young generation in the 21st century, as well as the confrontation and compromise between individuals, reality and history, and writes about the "people under water" in the gaps of the chaotic era.
