About This Novel
A unified country, a place where everything is transparent and precise so that nothing can be hidden. All buildings here are made of glass: glass green walls isolate trees and other creatures; people live in glass houses and cannot close the curtains without permission; people have to walk on the glass sidewalk at an orderly pace from four to five o'clock in the afternoon. Here, people have no names, only numbers. People do not have parents who gave birth to themselves, and the "benefactor" is a father-like existence. People wear uniforms, get up, work, and eat according to a schedule. Even the time for sex is scientifically calculated. Here, everything has "standards" and as long as you abide by the rules, you can have a happy life.
