Wandering in the known and unknown world~
Second book in 2024 "Journey to the Center of the Earth" is a long science fiction novel by Jules Verne, the father of science fiction. It tells the wonderful story of a young man named Axel and his uncle, a somewhat workaholic geology professor, who went to the center of the earth to explore. The plot of the whole novel is ups and downs and fascinating, from the mysterious words on the parchment to the thrilling cave exploration to the fantastic journey in the underground ocean. Along the way, we follow Professor Lidenbrock and not only learn a lot of interesting geological science knowledge, but also experience our own hearts. There are some known and certain things in our lives, but there are more unknown and uncertain things. We feel at ease when faced with the known; we tend to be timid when faced with the unknown. In fact, it is these unknown things that make our lives more colorful. If everything in this world was planned step by step, then life would lose its original meaning. Embracing the unknown, daring to try, and accepting reality, this is the philosophy of life that Verne conveys to us through this book. 😹
