This set of books includes three volumes: "Sinking", "Chi Osmanthus" and "Autumn Night at Bilang Lake". Yu Dafu is a literary giant in the history of modern Chinese literature, an important novelist in the history of Chinese new literature, and an important pioneer of modern Chinese romantic lyrical novels. "Sinking" is Yu Dafu's early short story and his masterpiece. It shocked the literary world at the time when it was first published. He recounted the sexual anguish of a Japanese student studying abroad and his sorrow for the country's cowardice. The novel is based on Yu Dafu himself. It is a short story published by Yu Dafu in 1932. It tells the story of Weng Zesheng, who came from a scholarly family and studied in Japan and was very ambitious. Later, his family fell into decline, he fell ill and dropped out of school, and his marriage suffered a setback. From then on, he quietly recuperated in his hometown. After recovering from health, he became a primary school teacher, and later agreed to marry a wife to reassure his mother. Because of his marriage, he remembered his old friend Lao Yu, whom he had not seen for ten years, and invited him to attend his wedding. Lao Yu was invited to come and was attracted by the beautiful scenery of Wengjia Mountain. He was deeply touched by the pure, lovely and kind nature of Weng Zesheng's sister Weng Lian, who was as beautiful as the late sweet-scented osmanthus in the mountains. This book shows the author's beautiful and sensual writing style, and the deep feeling is the sadness of separation. "Autumn Night at Bilang Lake" selects several classic short stories by Yu Dafu, hoping that readers can have a deeper understanding of Yu Dafu and that era from these novels.
