About This Novel
This book is a collection of novellas, consisting of three novellas: "Movies", "Biographies of Warriors" and "Bicycles". The three novels are all set in rural Bozhou and describe the life style of Lizhuang people in special times. Among them, "Movie" tells the story of Lizhuang people watching outdoor movies, the love between young men and women, and the "war" between young people in each village. All of this ended abruptly after the young people went their separate ways. "Biographies of Warriors" tells the story of a lost world among the people. Li Zhuang practiced martial arts, and all his children were sent to learn "Pui" (martial arts). It used "martial arts" as the starting point to tell the story of the fateful changes of several people who learned "Pui". It focused on "love" to describe the true love between brothers in the same discipline, creating a legendary martial arts world with a classical charm. The master has great martial arts skills and maintains his self-control by saying "If those above me don't bully me, I won't bully those below"; Bald Man is obsessed with martial arts and has a brave personality; Bao Fan is obsessed with beating and creates his own martial arts; Security Guard and Iron Hammer like to use martial arts to make friends... "Bicycle" takes the folk carnival style of writing to the extreme. In the end, Lizhuang's first bicycle and this bicycle triggered the Lizhuang people's persistence and enthusiasm for bicycles. They worked tirelessly to assemble bicycles, and they held fancy bicycle riding competitions. Bicycles opened the eyes of the children in the village.
