About This Novel
The "Taixing" is a rare giant luxury sailing ship in ancient times, and can be called the "Titanic" of the East. It set sail from Xiamen Port in January 1822, carrying more than one million pieces of blue and white porcelain, mostly produced by Dehua Kiln, and headed for Batavia. Unfortunately, it hit a rock and sank when it sailed to the waters of Java Island. People from all walks of life in southern Fujian board the "Taixing" with different purposes. The direction of the story and the fate of the characters are intertwined through this merchant ship sailing on the sea. The great love between people and the brilliance of humanity shown in the face of disasters are confusing, twists and turns, and touching. The "Taixing" sank, but the spirit carried by the "Taixing" did not sink, and will forever be recorded in the history of the Chinese nation. The precipitation and charm of Dehua's porcelain art will shine forever. This is the historical significance of the tragedy of the "Taixing" and the artistic value of this novel.
