About This Novel

This book is a collection of Republic of China mystery novels created by writer Zhu Xi. It consists of eight separate stories connected into a huge final case. The story takes place in the "isolated island" Jiangcheng in the late 1930s. It tells the story of Jiang Han, who has returned from studying medicine in Europe, and the female movie star Ruan Luming, who are accidentally involved in a poisoning and murder case. The two work together to solve the case, and then jointly solve a series of strange and important cases by chance.
