The Home Where I Died
About This Novel
Keigo Higashino's masterpiece buries horror deep into readers' five senses! Keigo Higashino said: ""Once Upon a Time in the House Where I Died" was a work of my own confidence, but it was met with a cold reception. From then on, I began to look at critics with suspicion." Keigo Higashino's protagonist Sayaka has no memory of his childhood before elementary school. In order to retrieve her memory, she and her ex-boyfriend came to the mysterious and desolate villa where her father often went alone during his lifetime. Various signs indicate that all the people in this villa seemed to have disappeared one day twenty-three years ago and never came back. When he saw a piano, Sayaka couldn't help but murmur to himself: I have been here before.

Very good, a masterpiece. It is indeed the most satisfying work of the author. It is interlocking, fascinating, and has a very strong sense of rhythm. My hair stood up several times after watching it. The foreshadowing and reasoning echoed back and forth. The setting is very clever. Poor brother and sister.
I just want to ask, who is Keiichiro's second child?

The main text must not be less than ten words
I really like Keigo Higashino. I have read most of his books. They are so awesome. I support them! ! ! ! ! !
I have always liked Keigo Higashino's books. His books always give me an indescribable feeling.
The theme of this book is great, but the plot feels a little lacking. When it is known that the eldest son is Yusuke's father, according to normal logic, and based on the known fact that there is only one female in the family, the old lady, one should directly suspect that the disgusting sexual intercourse that Yusuke heard in the diary at night was from his father, instead of waiting for a long time until Sayaka and her ex-boyfriend kissed each other before suddenly remembering it. Therefore, it is a bit unreasonable that neither of them reacted to the problem at the beginning. After all, as a reader, he had already thought of it immediately in his mind. As the protagonist whose mind is thinking crazily and speculating about the whole incident, he should be able to think of it immediately. And after reading the whole book in one go, I felt that the description of emotions that reminded Sayaka of his childhood was not adequate, and it always felt a little less impactful. This may be because this book is described from the onlooker perspective of "me", the former boyfriend.
I particularly like Higashino Keigo's books and writing style! I just started reading this book, Once Upon a Time in My Dead House, today, and I'm reading it as a physical book. However, I have an exam tomorrow... But I still can't put it down, no matter how hard I try, so of course I'll finish it, otherwise I'll be miserable in Chinese and Mathematics tomorrow because of my curiosity!
It can be regarded as a mystery novel that touches the soul~
Keigo Higashino's books never require you to rack your brains to guess the ending, because the content is so exciting that you don't even bother guessing.
It makes my hair stand on end! The mystery is finally revealed! It was terrifying to see! !
Childhood is a critical period for character development. The result is not easy to imagine.
