The writing is pretty good. Even the ones about Beijing I read without skipping a beat. Because the ones written about Beijing are all about taverns, I skipped reading. It writes very well about my hometown and Hong Kong.
The writing is not clear. I looked at two or three pictures and there is no place name. I can't read it.
