About This Novel
At three o'clock in the morning, all kinds of sounds hit Phoenix Island hard. The dense "boom-rumbling" sound came from far away and approached, like an avalanche following closely behind, forcing people living in the city. First, there was a gentle "boom-boom" sound floating in the distance, and then a heavy "boom-boom" sound exploded in the city, exploding into a fleeting skylight and causing panic throughout the city. The baby's cry was the first to be unscrewed. Then, the sound of windows opening, doors opening, dogs barking, chaotic footsteps, and shouts were gradually pushed towards the street. In early spring, the tide rises instantly on Guanyin Road. People crowded on the road, looking up at the desolate night sky, expecting every sound to be the last. But it didn't take a breath, didn't stop, one sound after another, one after another. Like lightning mixed with thunder before a storm, and like cannons falling all around, deafening and breathtaking. A few minutes later, the Phoenix Fort on the coast responded.
