About This Novel

The book "Aunt's Journey" tells the story of how although life was miserable after liberation, the protagonist's family did have a time that could be called happy. With the advent of an era of passion, the mother committed suicide by jumping into the river out of humiliation, and the aunt's boyfriend also died unexpectedly. From then on, the stepmother lived a strong life but suffered internally, while the aunt remained unmarried for the rest of her life with deep self-blame. As time goes by and things change, they forgive that era and others, but the only person they cannot forgive is themselves. As if driven by a huge and invisible thing, everything becomes thick and light, sweet and painful, beautiful and ugly, bright and dark, ordinary and weird... And the warmth and brilliance of human nature are everywhere displayed.
