About This Novel
When I met her, the cold rain, cold air, and damp ground in winter all turned into a rose color in my eyes. She hid under a car, her young body curled up like a sleeping baby. I walked up to her, squatted down, and tilted the umbrella in my hand slightly forward. Then in this space that only belonged to us, the rain stopped. "Meow..." She screamed softly, but did not run away. She probably didn't understand why it stopped raining, and she didn't understand what I wanted to do. Her eyes were full of confusion, and she could only look at me timidly. Water vapor rises from the still warm hood, filling the void left after the rain disappears from this space. She and I stared at each other in the dreamlike mist that filled under the umbrella.
