About This Novel
This book is a novel on the theme of the Anti-Japanese War. The novel is based on the unwarranted raid on our nest by the Japanese army in 1943. It mainly tells the story of Mako, the daughter of Major Nishimura, an officer of the Takata Regiment of the Japanese Army, who was rescued by Tie Suo, a villager in Xinqiao Village, during a battle, and was brought back to the village and various stories that happened between her and the villagers. The novel describes cruel war scenes and expresses sincere emotions, thus highlighting the friendship between the Chinese military and civilians and the friendship between the Chinese and Japanese peoples. At the same time, this novel also highlights the conflict between love and hate during and after the war, expressing deep thoughts on the damage caused by the war.
