About This Novel
Read "Three Thousand Years of Jerusalem" to understand the real Jerusalem, and you will understand why the world has evolved into what it is today. Jerusalem was once regarded as the center of the world, a holy place for the three major religions of Christianity, Judaism and Islam, a strategic hub for the clash of civilizations, a place that haunts the world, a place where bewildering conspiracies, fictional online legends and 24-hour news take place. In chronological order, Simon Montefiore uses the competition between the three major religions around the "Holy City" and the rise and fall of several major families as the main line to vividly tell the past and present life of Jerusalem. Through extensive field surveys and documentary research, the author uses an objective and neutral perspective to present the city's three thousand years of magnificent history through the lives of soldiers and prophets, poets and kings, farmers and musicians, as well as the families who created Jerusalem, and restore the real Jerusalem...

Since it was a book Jiang Nan was reading, I came over to take a look.
A fantastic book.
So well written, so well written.
The earthly sanctuary is Syria; the sanctuary of Syria is Palestine; the sanctuary of Palestine is Jerusalem; the sanctuary of Jerusalem is the Temple Mount; the sanctuary of the Temple Mount is the place of prayer; the sanctuary of the place of prayer is the Dome of the Rock.
The book is well written, but there are many mistakes in it (such as: how did the year 5000 BC be pushed up, and the first era of 1656 is only 4347 years at most; and the Philistines did not capture the Ark by destroying the sanctuary in Shiloh, but the Israelites carried the Ark to fight and captured it on the battlefield, etc.). I personally feel that I should write a series of books based on biblical evidence.
A very good book,
This book is full of ancient Jewish culture,
The history of Jerusalem is the history of the entire world, and it is also the chronicle of a long-barren town in the mountains of Judea. Jerusalem was once considered the center of the world, and now more than ever it lives up to its name: the city is a focus of battles between Abrahamic Religions and the increasingly popular center of Christianity, Judaism and Islamic fundamentalism. The holy land of fundamentalism is a strategic arena for conflicts between different civilizations, a frontline for the confrontation between atheism and theism, a focus of secular attention, a place where confusing conspiracies and Internet myths occur, and a dazzling stage where cameras around the world focus in the era of 24-hour news. Religious, political and media interests feed off each other, making Jerusalem more visible today than ever before.

Creative, innovative and worth a look
Very detailed! history
Easy to understand! The descriptions are very good
Maps from all eras are needed.
If there were maps of Jerusalem and surrounding areas in each era, this book would have a three-dimensional feel.
