Qi Cheng's early works are about traveling to the middle of the Ming Dynasty to engage in industry. The offbeat plots and details are quite readable. They are outstanding among most Ming Dynasty novels about becoming a king and fighting for hegemony. But after all, I am not good at ancient settings. Many of the plots are too modern, and it is easy to come up with drama while reading.
