I have watched this movie before, and now I want to watch it again after reading the original work. Before meeting Clark, Will's life was like a backwater. A sudden car accident left him paralyzed from the chest down, and he just wanted to die quickly. So he's mean. When she met Will, Clark was newly unemployed and working in the town where she had grown up. Her boyfriend cares about triathlons, and her meager salary supports her family. The six months they spent together were the best days of each other's lives.
