This book is a novel written by Mr. Lao She. In "Two Horses", through such a ridiculous love story, Lao She laughs and curses, not only strongly criticizes his own nation's sluggishness, laziness, lack of progress, and going along with others, but also condemns the national cultural prejudices in British society and expresses young Lao She's simple and strong patriotism and patriotic ideas. This is an earlier work in which Lao She pays attention to Eastern and Western cultures. This book presents the differences between Eastern and Western cultures through the experiences of Chinese businessman Lao Ma and his son Xiao Ma in the UK, and satirizes and criticizes the weaknesses of Chinese national character.
