What is exciting is the turning point and development of the characters' fate. For example, when Mei Yin was brought to court for secretly developing and spreading the smallpox virus, lawyer Du's defense was beautiful and unexpected.
Although the title of this book is a cross, it has nothing to do with Christianity. It is a reverence for nature that has been passed down from primitive civilization to this day. The main plot of the novel is clear--Maine's experience of carrying the teachings of the Cross.
I really didn't expect that it would be tragic for a female scientist to dedicate herself to science. Shouldn't it be a good thing to be full of passion and maximize her own value? What is the reason for this?
