About some incomprehensible pits
Why Gai Maosha was able to leave Novice Village alone, and why she didn't howl when she slept, are all not traps, but the author deliberately letting Xu Ni slowly discover some of the rules in the strange environment. He hasn't met enough people yet to understand all the rules of hell at once
