This book is divided into three parts: the upper part, the lower part and the appendix. The first part mainly discusses the two art types of literature and film, and makes a theoretical comparison from the differences and interactivity of their media symbols and other aspects; the second part is a close reading of the texts of Zhang Xianliang's literary works and film works. In the process of collecting and reading, relevant theories of literature and film were used to analyze the works, mainly using the methods of media symbols and narratology mentioned above to read the works carefully; the appendix is Zhang Xianliang's memorabilia, which completes Zhang Xianliang's life and creative memorabilia in the form of a chronology.
