About This Novel
Everything in the story has happened, more or less. At least, the part about the war is pretty true. Billy was abducted by aliens, and he was ripped from the timeline. He went to bed an decrepit widower and woke up on his wedding day. He entered through the 1955 door and came out through the other door in 1941. He said that he saw his birth and death many times, saw himself getting rich and having many children and grandchildren, and also saw himself becoming a prisoner of war and experiencing the disaster of "Slaughterhouse No. 5" Over and over again...

I have seen this kind of narrative style from García Márquez, Mo Yan, and Wang Xiaobo, but this style of writing, calm madness, starts with small characters to express the absurdity and cruelty of the entire grand war, and no one can imitate it.
