About This Novel
Developer Li Shan and his lover Huang Yun fell off a cliff in a car accident. After Li Shan's death, his father bribed the director of the funeral office to buy a corpse to burn and bury him in order to seek feng shui. However, on the night of the burial, his body was exhumed and sold, and his whereabouts are unknown. When Li Shan was about to be reincarnated, he was told that he had to find the body, otherwise he would be a lonely ghost for the rest of his life. Li Shan accidentally encounters Aaron, the soul who bought the body that was burned on his behalf. It turns out that the two had an intersection before his death. Li Shan once refused to help the seriously ill Aaron because he was rescuing out-of-school children. Later Aaron died of illness. Since it was stored in the same morgue, Aaron became the replacement for Li Shan's body and received compensation from Li Shan's family. The two souls got acquainted. In order to repay Li Shan's compensation and rescue for his family, Aaron decided to help him find the corpse together. Later, Li Shan changed his mind and did not want to be reincarnated again, but wanted to stay in the underworld and change the dark world. The work uses absurd writing techniques to look back at the real world from the soul, telling the story of karma and retribution for good deeds. The work is a finalist in the 3rd Cross-Strait Original Online Literature Competition.
