Weight of a Cat
by Nanlang
About This Novel
The cat is "2.6 Pounds," the female veterinarian announced as she lifted an approximately two-month-old cat from the scale. The cat half-closed its eyes and made a low meow. This pet hospital located on the banks of the Bruce River received an uninvited guest in the afternoon. Two young subway drivers broke into the hospital carrying supermarket shopping bags and grabbed the cat they found at the station. "Poor little thing," one of the drivers fanned his sweaty head, "What do you think of the name Mint?" "No, no, it should be called Cheese. If I'm not mistaken, it's a male cat, right?" The companion didn't seem to agree. "It needs a cuter name. I knew at first sight that it had to be called Cheese."
