About This Novel

"The Complete Works of Wang Zengqi: At the Southwest Associated University" is a collection of Wang Zengqi's autobiographical essays. Wang Zengqi introduced himself to his family and told the stories of his grandfather, father, and uncles in detail. He also analyzed his works and talked about the prototype characters in his works. It also records Wang Zengqi's life at Southwest Associated University and the stories between his classmates and teachers. Wang Zengqi is a student of Mr. Shen Congwen. He studied at Southwest Associated University and taught in Kunming. Apart from his hometown of Gaoyou and Beijing, this is the place where he has stayed the longest in his life. These seven years were the most wonderful seven years of his life. He was young and care-free. Apart from reading, I just wander around. In Kunming, he fell in love at least twice. Once because he was heartbroken, he slept in bed for two days without eating or drinking. Of course, there was also a period when I was so poor that I didn't even have money to eat. But mentally, it is extremely free. Reading this book, you can know why Wang Zengqi became Wang Zengqi.

Reading Wang Zengqi's books, I don't feel bored even if I read them for several hours, they are relaxing and interesting. However, Gaoyou's articles are still the most flavorful. Whether novels or essays, they are all first-class. The so-called washed words, poetic articles. The second half of the book, about the Southwest Associated University and Beijing, always feels a bit unfamiliar, although it is quite friendly to read.
