Everyday Japan
by Fang Xuefei
About This Novel
On October 2, 1989, I boarded an Air China flight at Shanghai Hongqiao Airport, landed at Osaka Itami Airport, and set foot in Japan. That year happened to be the first year of the Japanese New Year, Heisei, and this year (2016) is the twenty-seventh year of Heisei. "Everyday Japan" is a record of various daily scenes during these twenty-seven years. This casualness of recording is both casualness and casualness at any time and at any time. Because it is inadvertent, it is mostly a detailed description of actual events in life, without in-depth cultural exploration. It can be said to be a text map of the original sojourn life in the eyes of an expatriate. The topic is relatively broad, and is mostly limited to superficial descriptions of nature. It is like a picture with insufficient pixels, a fleeting glimpse, but what is illuminated is the real scene. At a certain time on a certain day, a light and shadow cast in front of my eyes caused a surge in my heart, and it became a record.
