Songs of Chu
by Qu Yuan
About This Novel
This book is a collection of romantic poetry and erotic articles in China. Mainly based on Qu Yuan's works, the other pieces also inherit the form of Qu Yuan's Fu, with unrestrained emotions and unique imagination. It uses the literary styles and dialect rhymes of the Chu region to describe the mountains, rivers, people, and historical customs of the Chu region. It has a strong regional cultural flavor, hence the name "Songs of Chu." This book includes annotations and translations, paragraph by paragraph, and strives for literal translation, maintaining the original nature of the poetry. Each poem is preceded by a title explanation summarizing the main theme of the poem. "Chu Ci", as the source of my country's positive romantic poetry creation, is a collection of poems that has a profound impact on Chinese literature after "The Book of Songs".
